Basketball Historian Biography

Bernie Fryer was chosen for  the 1972 college East-West All-Star Game while playing for Brigham Young University. In the game he scored 5 points on two field goals and one free throw.

Bernie Fryer was drafted in the 1972 NBA draft and saw plently of action as a rookie for the last place Portland Trail Blazers, 27-55 w/l record of the National Basketball Association in 1973-74. In 1,674 minutes spanning 80 games, he compiled a 3.5 points per game average. The next season, his last, he split his playing between New Orleans of the NBA and St. Louis of the ABA.
