A high-scoring basketball player, Antonio McDyess was a standout forward for the Alabama basketball team before being drafted by the Denver Nuggets in the 1995 NBA draft. Through hard work and with aggressive play, Antonio McDyess quickly became a fans favorite with Denver fans. As a rookie in 1995-96 he scored 13.42 points per game and then averaged 18.27 ppg his sophomore season. In 1998-99 Antonio McDyess scored a career-high 21.22 points per game for the Nuggets.

The 6 ft 9 inches, 220-pound, 33-year old forward is a highly regarded Sixth-man off the bench and his energy on offense and defense helped the Pistons make the playoffs.
