A standout college player for South West Missouri State during the late-1960s-1970, Curtis Perry debuted in the NBA with the Sa Diego Rockets in the fall of 1970. Next season he stayed with the team when it moved to Houston and then was traded in mid-season to the Milwaukee Bucks.
In MIlwaukee,Curtis Perry had more playing time and enjoyed a successful career. Always hustling at the forward position, he led the NBA when he was disqualified with penalities 14 times in 1971-72.
After signing with the Phoenix Suns in 1974-75 his statistics increased. Perry posted 3 straightt seasons of over 10 points per game and in 1974-75 he gathered a career-high 11.9 rebounds per game.
During a career spanning 8 seasons, Curtis played in four NBA postseason playoffs, scoring 498 points in 52 games, for a 9.6 ppg average and pulled in 8.4 rebounds per game. |
