2006-2007 Preseason Northwestern
Coach Bill Carmody will be back for his seventh year as coach of the Northwestern Wildcats

Northwestern Basketball 2006-2007 Preseason Review

Coach Bill Carmody will be back for his seventh year as

coach of the Northwestern Wildcats

The last three seasons the Wildcats finished one game under .500 ball,

making them ineligible for a postseason tourney.

Guard Tim Doyle, a senior out of St Dominic High School

in New York City, is being counted on to lead the NU squad

in team leadership and in scoring. Look for 6 ft 9 inch, forward

Kevin Coble and junior guard Jason Okrzesik to help both on

offense and defense.

Three players from Croatia are listed on this season’s roster:

Senior center Ivan Tolic, and two freshmen forwards, Nikola

Baran and Ivan Peljusic. Forward Jean Marc Melchior is a

sophomore from Luxembourg.

2006-2007 Preseason Michigan State
Tom Izzo, Michigan State Spartans coach

Michigan State 2006-2007 Preseason Review

The Spartans have made the tourney the last 9 straight seasons.

in Grand Rapids, is slated to be Michigan State’s sparkplus, and

should be the team’s leading scorer. 6 ft 7 inch, freshman forward

Raymar Morgan was a front line scorer at McKinley High School

in Canton Ohio and he, along with 6 ft 10 inch, center Goran

Suton out of Everett High in Lansing are rated by scouts as rugged

performers under the boards. 6 ft 10 inch, junior center Drew

Naymick looks good and may rotate with Suton.

6 ft 11 inch, sophomore center Idong Ibok is from Lagos Nigeria
